There are currently 30 Larger On-site Septic Systems (LOSS) managed by Washington State Department of Health (DOH) operating in Clallam County.  This includes several of the larger community drain fields like Sunshine Acres, Sun Meadows, Salal, Happy Valley Greens, Four Seasons Ranch, Dungeness Bay Plat and Cedar Glen.  All community drain fields that treat more than 3,500 GPD of sewage (around 9 3-bdrm houses) are categorized as Larger On-Site Systems that get annual operating permits from DOH.   If you have clients on any of the community drain fields, they should be preparing for some fee increases. The new fees are listed here:  2743_001.  This does not affect individual septic systems.
